Vacheron Constantin
Overseas
Why It Matters
Vacheron Constantin's integrated-bracelet sports watch. The Overseas descends from the 1977 ref. 222 and launched in 1996 as the maison's first modern sports line. The third-generation ref. 4500V, introduced in 2016, uses a 41mm steel case about 11mm thick, the six-sided notched bezel drawn from the Maltese cross, the in-house calibre 5100 with a wind-rose rotor visible through a sapphire back, and a tool-free system that swaps between a steel bracelet, a rubber strap, and a leather strap. It is a distinct object from its 222 ancestor.
