Tudor
Submariner 'Snowflake'
Why It Matters
Tudor's answer to the Rolex Submariner, defined by its 'Snowflake' handset. From the late 1960s, Tudor fitted its 40mm Submariners with angular snowflake hands and square hour markers for low-light legibility, with related references serving the French Marine Nationale. The lineage runs from the 7016 and 7021 to the later 9401 and 9411 references; the representative here is the blue-dial, date-equipped 9411/0 (ETA-based caliber 2784), one configuration within a lineage that also included no-date and black-dial variants.
