Seiko
6139-6005 'Pogue'
Why It Matters
The automatic chronograph that went to space: Seiko promoted the 6139 as the world's first automatic chronograph, and Col. William Pogue carried a yellow-dial example aboard Skylab 4 in 1973. The reference Pogue actually owned and flew was the US-market 6139-6005; the rest-of-world 6139-6002 is the more commonly collected 'Pogue'.
