Rolex Sea-Dweller 'Double Red' Steel, matte black dial
Rolex, 1967–1977
Why It Matters
Rolex's first saturation-diving watch, built with a helium gas-escape valve for deep commercial dives. The 'Double Red' Sea-Dweller, named for its two lines of red dial text, is an early version of the 1665, distinct from the later all-white 'Great White'.
