John Madden Football
John Madden Football (Genesis)
Electronic Arts, 1990
Why It Matters
John Madden Football came to the Sega Genesis from Electronic Arts in 1990, the first console release in the Madden football series. It shipped in a cardboard box rather than the plastic case used for most Genesis games.
The photograph shows the sealed cardboard-box copy graded Wata 9.2 A+ that sold at Heritage in January 2022. Its grade and sale history belong to that copy.
