Pikachu

Pikachu Illustrator was never sold in packs: CoroCoro Comic awarded it to winners of its illustration contest, and Guinness World Records counts 39 copies given out in 1998. Atsuko Nishida drew the card, the only one to carry "Illustrator" as its heading. Its importance rests on that origin, an award for fan artists made in a run of 39 rather than a card printed for play or sale. The only copy graded PSA 10 passed to Logan Paul in July 2021 in a private deal valued at $5,275,000, $4,000,000 plus a PSA 9 Illustrator, and he wore it at WrestleMania in 2022. Goldin sold it in February 2026 to AJ Scaramucci for $16,492,000 including the buyer's premium, the auction record for any trading card.
