Jaeger-LeCoultre
Reverso, 1931
Why It Matters
The Reverso's case turns within its carrier, allowing the dial to face inward for protection. Developed for a sporting problem, the mechanism also created a second surface for decoration, while the rectangular case retained the stepped geometry associated with Art Deco design.
