Bulova Lunar Pilot Steel
Bulova, Modern production
Why It Matters
A modern chronograph carrying a genuine slice of space history. On 2 August 1971 a Bulova chronograph prototype was worn on the lunar surface during Apollo 15; the Lunar Pilot reference 96B251 is Bulova's Archive Series reinterpretation of that watch, running the brand's 262 kHz high-performance quartz movement in a 45mm case and shipping on a nylon strap marked with the mission date. It reinterprets the original rather than reissues it.
