Breguet
Type XX
Why It Matters
The civilian Breguet flyback. In the early 1950s the French military specified a flyback pilot's chronograph, the Type 20, and Breguet used the name Type XX for the civilian versions it sold alongside the issued watches. The Type XX is a flyback chronograph on a Valjoux movement, with a fifteen minute counter at three, small seconds at nine, and often a twelve hour counter at six, under a rotating bezel. It is distinct from the issued Type 20.
