Wayne Gretzky
1979-80 O-Pee-Chee #18
Why It Matters
Wayne Gretzky's O-Pee-Chee rookie card marks his arrival in the NHL. The Canadian issue is distinct from the Topps counterpart, even though they share the familiar portrait and blue-bordered design. Border wear, printing defects and the cut of the card make preservation a central part of this issue's collecting history.
