Babe Ruth
1914 Baltimore News
Why It Matters
This Baltimore News issue records Babe Ruth with the minor-league Baltimore Orioles, before his major-league debut. Its early date, local newspaper distribution and documented scarcity distinguish it from his later national issues. An individual copy's condition and ownership history remain separate from the significance of the card itself.
