Elly De La Cruz is a switch-hitting shortstop for the Cincinnati Reds whose size, speed, and arm strength have few precedents at the position. He hit for the cycle within weeks of his June 2023 debut, and in 2024 led the National League with 67 stolen bases while becoming the first shortstop in MLB history with a 20-homer, 60-steal season. He was an All-Star in 2024 and 2025.
